I am looking to learn how to play bridge. Does anyone out there have a group or an idea of how I could get started?

I found a website: http://www.carolinabridge.com/

I've ordered a couple of books and then my wife and I are going to take a class.

Anyone else interested?

Let me know how you like it. Jay and I tried to learn a couple of years ago, but our heads were spinning after the first lesson. If you are ever in a mood for Spades, a simplified version, let us know because we LOVE Spades.

My wife and I used to play a lot of Spades but haven't in years. Fun game.

I am hoping the book will help with the "spinning". The same thing happened to me when I attempted it alone.

I believe there is an open bridge group that meets at the levine center and another that meets at the club house of Polo Villas just off 51 and 74.

I still play Bridge on occasion, however it is mainly on my laptop.
Picking up the computer game Hoyle's Card Games (which includes Bridge, Spades, Pinochle, Euchre, Cribbage, Rummy, Hearts, Gin, among others) would help.
Once comfortable move on to live play.

I would be interested in joining an established group that meets to play Bridge.

Thanks
Don

Darryl: My husband, Pete and I would like to learn how to play Bridge, also! Maybe we can get a personal bridge coach who will come to our home and help us learn.
