Local community-based publication is looking for intriguing & inspirational story leads for our writers to craftfully wordsmith into a captivating (and true) feature editorial for our next issue.
Send me your idea (in 50 words or less) along with your contact information, and one of our writers will contact you if your submission will benefit our valued readers and community leaders in the Matthews, Mint Hill, Weddington, Stalling and Indian Trail areas!
We're searching for "that something special" that will jump off the pages and pique our reader's interest!
We will be pursuing story leads that fall within the following categories:
I have something of interest. At my local church we've started a web-based program to help find people out of work find jobs or to match up members who have work that needs to be done with those who can do the work.
Thanks so much for this information. In this time of economic uncertainty, these are the kind of stories we want folks to know about. I will check out the website and contact you if we have any questions.
I looked over your website and it's quite possible we may be able to write an article on this subject. I very much like the idea of people helping out one another in these difficult times. Your desire to initiate this program speaks volumes and we believe it fits in well with what we are trying to accomplish here at Matthews Mint Hill magazine. I could not locate an email address for you on iMatthews or mychurchconnections.com, so if you would kindly send me an email (info@1sourcemediallc.com), I will forward you a set of questions we would need you to answer relating to your successful story.
Thank You

Todd - I don't know if this is what you are looking for, but under the Business category:
My wife and I have a husband/wife accounting firm we run out of our house. We both decided to get out of corporate life and having others dictate our success/failure. We are now in total control over whether we make it large, make it small or don't make it! We have 2 kids that will be in college next year, so that's scary, but again we control our destiny every day. My wife, Patti is now doing this full time, while I am also involved with a few other companies that I am invested in. At least, life isn't boring with us!

Todd, I'd love to see if you'd be interested in doing a little article on UnionCountyNeighbors.com and the affiliated(NING) community. The whole reason we started it was to build on the concept of community, buying green, supporting local residents and businesses through this lull in the economy. you can take a look at the site if you'd like at http://unioncountyneighbors.com and http://unioncountync.ning.com
The website link you provided is a great way for the folks of Union County to stay connected however, our magazine is limited to Matthews, Mint Hill and the surrounding areas of Indian Trail, Weddington and Stallings here in Mecklenberg county. We are absolutely interested in these kind of stories/articles and will keep your website in mind because as we grow, we are certainly looking to expand our region to counties outside of Mecklenberg..
Thank You and we hope you understand.

I represent the Charlotte Eagles Professional Soccer teams. Our offices are in Matthews NC. Both our professional men's and women's teams while playing in the United Soccer League put on week long summer soccer camps for children in the community. This year we are doing a free soccer camp for children with autism. The camp will run from June 15-19. I think this would make a great piece for the magazine
