MATTHEWS An attorney for the town of Matthews says Mayor Lee Myers did nothing wrong when he sent out e-mails endorsing a candidate in this fall's mayoral race. Charles Buckley's written opinion, read at Monday night's town board meeting, said mayoral candidate Jack Davis's claims of ethics violations were unfounded.

Thank you for posting this question and for the opportunity to present my position.
The Monday town council meeting only allowed one opinion; the opposition was not invited, nor permitted, to speak.
I have attached a file that shows the reasons for my opinion.
