Committee?

Is there a community garden committee? I have my own garden, but how could I go about encouraging and supporting community gardening?

Louise Hord is heading up the current community garden and I believe the lots are sold out. But I hear they are looking for another space to expand next year. And we (HAWK) are currently kicking around the idea of a demonstration "Backyard Habitat" which would include an example of a "victory garden" that would operate as a Community Garden, hopefully getting some of the schools involved. If you would like to be involved in the planning process of that, let me know. We want to encourage sustainable backyard practices for lawns, gardening and in attracting wildlife.; ▶ Reply to This
