In our first year Matthews Community Gardens has 12 gardeners who plant vegetables and some flowers in their plot. Each gardener is responsible for taking care of their own 10x10 or 10x15 area.
That is a great goal! I am trying my best to purchase locally grown food, but it is hard living on a very modest income, and being an apartment dweller. I have high hopes though that it can be done. :)

The Matthews Community Farmers' Market is the area's largest and most diverse growers-only farmers' market in the Charlotte area. Customers make a direct connection with the source of their food by buying it from the local farmers who grow it.
