About Mark
I'm a Charlotte native (a westside boy), a UNC-Chapel Hill grad, and have lived in Matthews since 2003. I'm thrilled to be here.
Since January 2005, I've served on the Citizens Advisory Board for Planning and Zoning, and I have recently started my own business from my home in the Winterbrooke subdivision. Opus Communications is a marketing and public relations firm that works with entrepreneurs and businesses undertaking change to provide marketing communications insight and creative execution.
My wife Jamie, also a Charlotte native (a Charlotte Catholic HS and Myers Park neighborhood girl), UNC grad, and Registered Nurse, is nurse manager for the Matthews Health Clinic on N. Ames Street. Our two children attend Matthews Elementary School.
