What is your interest in iMatthews.com?: I write a weekly column for the Neighbors of Southern Mecklenburg section of the Charlotte Observer and am always looking for interesting people, places, history,businesses, etc. to write about. Any and all suggestions are welcome. Are your children involved in projects that raise awareness of some aspect in this torubled world> Have they received awards worthy of recognition. How about you. What are the interesting things that have brought you to this little corner of the world? Let me know.....

A while back we had a Stitch-In program at the library held on a regular basis. It dwindled away over a summer and has not been re-started. If you need a location for a group to get together and knit, please contact me. We have a fairly large room for meetings and programs.

One of my daughters has been learning to knit and is loving it. She may be interested and I will pass this by her. She has also befriended a lovely 93 year old woman who lives in the property complex that my daughter manages - who is and has been an avid knitter. My daughter said her apartment is full of gorgeous things this woman has created and she may be willing to part with a few - or create a few more. I will check for you.

We are making blankets for the children who are patients at the new Levine Children's Hospital. the yarn and sizes ar especific, but not difficult at all.
